This month, Brian Jagde makes his highly anticipated role debut as The Tenor/Bacchus in Strauss’ Ariadne auf Naxos, opening Minnesota Opera’s 2015/16 season. Mr. Jagde sang the role of Matteo in Arabella with the company in 2013, to wide critical acclaim:

“Brian Jagde’s strapping Matteo is the very model of tenorial ardor; his instrument could fill several Ordways. (Star Tribune)

Jagde is joined by a spectacular cast for this production, including Amber Wagner in the title role, Erin Morley as Zerbinetta, and Hanna Hipp as the Komponist, with Dale Travis as The Music Master. Michael Christie leads the Minnesota Opera Orchestra for these performances, which take place September 26 and October 1, 3 & 4 at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts.
