Role Debut at the Minnesota Opera

Brian Jagde returns to the Minnesota Opera to debut the role of Matteo in a production of Richard Strauss’ Arabella that can be seen on November 9, 12, 14, 16 and 17, 2013.  The cast includes Jacquelyn Wagner as Arabella, Elizabeth Futral as Zdenka, Dale Travis as Count Waldner, Victoria Vargas as Adelaide, Craig Irvin as Mandryka, John Robert Lindsey as Count Elmer, Matthew Opitz as Count Dominik, Christian Zaremba as Count Lamoral, Jamie-Rose Guarrine as The Fiakermilli, and Shannon Prickett as a fortuneteller.  The orchestra will be led by Michael Christie and the production is directed by Tim Albery.  This is Mr. Jagde’s second time at the Minnesota Opera.  He previously sang Madama Butterfly in the winter of 2012.
