‘Madame Butterfly’ – archived broadcast to air on radio stations nationwide

Enjoy an archived broadcast via PRX.org of Puccini’s Madame Butterfly from San Francisco Opera (2014) featuring Brian Jagde as Lieutenant B.F. Pinkerton. The broadcast will also be on the air and streamed live via several classical radio stations across the country throughout the week, including NEPR and WFMT (9/5) as well as WBJC (9/12). This production boasts an incredible cast, including Patricia Racette in the title role, Elizabeth DeShong as Suzuki, and Brian Mulligan as Sharpless, with Music Director Nicola Luisotti leading the San Francisco Opera Orchestra and Chorus.
