Following his heroic” debut in 2012 as Cavaradossi in Tosca, Brian Jagde returns to Santa Fe Opera this summer as Narraboth in a new production of Strauss’ Salome. Mr. Jagde previously performed the role with “clarion voice and convincing acting” earlier this season at Opera San Antonio.

Salome performances take place July 18, 22 & 31 and August 6, 11, 18 & 27, and feature Alex Penda in the title role, Robert Brubaker as Herod, Michaela Martens as Herodias, and Ryan McKinny as Jochanaan. Daniel Slater directs the production, with costumes and sets designed by Leslie Travers, and David Robertson leading the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra.
