This season, Brian Jagde makes his role debut as Maurizio in Cilea’s sumptuous tragedy, Adriana LecouvreurFebruary 7, 10, 17, 21, 24 & 27 and March 2 at London’s Royal Opera House. He made his critically acclaimed debut at Covent Garden in 2015 singing Lt. Pinkerton in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly.

Mr. Jagde sings Maurizio alongside a tremendous international cast, including soprano Angela Gheorghiu in the title role, who celebrates her 25th anniversary at the Royal Opera with these performances, Gerald Finley as Michonnet, and Ksenia Dudnikova as the Principessa di Bouillon. Soprano Hrachuhi Bassenz sings Adriana on February 21 & March 2.

Daniel Oren leads the Royal Opera House Orchestra for all dates, which feature a spectacular production by David McVicar, directed for this revival by Justin Way.
