Brian Jagde returns to Germany this summer, to make his debut at two of the country’s opera houses in signature Puccini portrayals. Mr. Jagde sings Cavaradossi in Tosca at Oper Stuttgart on June 15, 19 & 25 and July 2 & 13 in a Willy Decker-staged production. In past performances of the role, Jagde has been heralded as a “revelation” (Chicago Reader) who throws off “Pavarottian sparks” (Chicago Sun Times) .

Additionally, Mr. Jagde makes another debut in Germany, singing Lt. Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly at Staatsoper Hamburg on June 25. He reunites with soprano Lianna Haroutounian in the title role; Jagde and Haroutounian previously shared the stage at San Francisco Opera in Tosca (2014):
