A return to San Francisco Opera for role debut as Des Grieux in ‘Manon Lescaut’

This fall, Brian Jagde makes his fifth role debut of 2019, Des Grieux in Puccini’s Manon Lescaut at San Francisco Opera. Jagde has previously been featured in two other starring Puccini roles at the company, Cavaradossi (Tosca) and Calaf (Turandot).

Performances are held November 8, 13, 16, 20 & 24 at the War Memorial Opera House, with Lianna Haroutounian in her first appearance in the title role, Anthony Clark Evans as Lescaut, and Philip Skinner as Geronte. Former SFOpera Music Director Nicola Luisotti returns to conduct the San Francisco Opera Orchestra for all dates.
