‘Turandot’ at Opéra national de Paris

Brian Jagde revisits the role of Calaf in Puccini’s Turandot this season, with Opéra national de Paris. Performances take place November 6-29 at the Opéra Bastille, with a live cinema and Paris Opera Player broadcast on November 13. The alternating cast includes sopranos Iréne Theorin, Tamara Wilson, and Anna Pirozzi as Turandot, Ermonela Jaho and Adriana Gonzalez as Liù, and Mika Kares as Timur, with Marco Armiliato and Michele Spotti conducting.
