Brian Jagde makes his role debut as Maurizio in Cilea’s Adriana Lecouvreur, next season at London’s Royal Opera House. Performances take place February 7, 10, 17, 21, 24 & 27 and March 2, 2017, and feature a spectacular international cast including Angela Gheorghiu in the title role (Hrachuhi Bassenz sings Adriana Feb. 21 & Mar. 2), Kristin Adam as Abbé di Chazeuil, Ksenia Dudnikova as the Princesse de Bouillon, Bálint Szabó as the Prince de Bouillon, and Gerald Finley and Alessandro Corbelli share the role of Michonnet. Daniel Oren leads from the pit, for this sumptuous production directed by David McVicar.

Mr. Jagde made his critically acclaimed debut at the Royal Opera last season, as Pinkerton in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly.
