Brian Jagde "leaves the audience gasping" in house debut at Washington National Opera in 'Madama Butterfly'
Debut at Washington National Opera in ‘Madame Butterfly’
This spring, Brian Jagde makes his first appearance at Washington National Opera, reprising his portrayal of Pinkerton in the Jun Kaneko production of Puccini’s Madame Butterfly. Mr. Jagde previously starred in the production at San Francisco Opera where he was heralded as a “dream come true” (Examiner) with a “ringing voice” (Bay Area Reporter).
Jagde sings at WNO on May 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 18 & 20 with a fantastic cast, featuring Ermonela Jaho as Cio-Cio-San, Troy Cook as Sharpless, and Kristen Choi as Suzuki. Music Director Philippe Auguin leads the Washington National Opera Orchestra for these performances.
